Question about Drylok and other such waterproofers

I recently had a flood in my basement that resulted in needing to spend a lot of money for a mold abatement contractor to come in and do his thing. The basement is now dry and reasonably mold-free.

We’re doing a million little things to prevent future floods, including digging out basement window wells to prevent moisture from gathering there, bringing in a contractor to sink drywells out in the yard, and adjusting the grade of the property to direct water flow away from the foundation.

Before I go investing money in re-finishing my basement, I wanted to paint the walls and floor with Drylok. I’ve never used the stuff before. Does anyone know whether it can be applied with a spray gun? I would prefer to not have to apply with rollers and brushes, if possible. If I can use my sprayer, I think the job would be easier and faster.

Thanks in advance.

PDF. Says, “yes”. See page 2 for Drylock notes and special equipment needed.

Not a standard spray gun.

In general, DryLock is very heavy stuff, and much more tiring than regular paint. Worked on my basement though (I gave it two coats). FYI, it has a very scratchy feel when it dries.
