FIrst off, I love Firefox. Best. Browser. Ever.
However, one thing I do not like about it, but I figure there must be a way to fix. When I click on a file to download, I have the option to save or open. If I want to save, it ALWAYS saves to the desktop. I know that in the options menu I can change the location, but is there a way to change it so that I can choose where I want to the file to go every time I DL something?

The easiest way I know is to open a new browser window, type “about:config” in the address bar, and hit enter. Change the value of the key “browser.download.defaultFolder” to whatevever folder you want as the default.
Tools->Options->Downloads
Make sure ‘Ask me where to save every file’ is checked.
Tools->Options and then click on the download icon on the left.
Oh, nevermind. That’s not what you’re asking. I don’t know if there is a way to do that.
