The iron fist of the law slammed down on my mother at the border.

As a youngster in the Great Depression, she popped across from her home in Canada into the USA for a contest in which she won a live bunny for dancing on roller skates while balancing a water filled glass on her forehead. She was prohibited from taking it home across the border into Canada.

Sometimes life is hard when you’re a kid with a bunny and you don’t know what to do with it. Kid with a bunny; kid with a bunny. SHE WAS A KID WITH A BUNNY AND SHE DIN’ KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT! Kid with a bunny; kid with a bunny.

I’ve dumped out my cooler a number of times coming back to California. If you have fresh produce in a supermarket package from the US they will usually let it pass.
