Question about intestate laws of succession: halves vs. full blood

I know this is going to vary from *state to state, but in general:

If a childless, parentless person with siblings and half-siblings dies intestate, [assuming that the laws of intestate succession state that it is divided equally among the next of kin, who would be the various flavors of sibling, does the law [in whatever state] look at the halves as being equal with the full-blood (or full by adoption) relatives? Or would the halves be left in the cold?

*Not for me or anyone I know. I’m pretty sure that halves are on equal footing with fulls in my state.

In WV, since 1992, half bloods are equal to full blood…
