Is there such a place as Devao City? I know there is a Davao City… I’m proofing some forms and info and such and came across an entry for Devao City… Is this a real place, if not, is it a bastardization of Davao City? If it is a variant, is it legally acceptable?

I searched a file of geographic names I downloaded from NIMA and didn’t find Devao, although there were quite a few names with Davao in them. The file has over 71000 names.

I would say it’s almost certainly a typo.
