Question about Quebec labor laws

Can anyone tell me the minimum time that must pass between two consecutive shifts at work? I seem to be forced to work shifts that are really close together. (like tonight, finished at 11pm and start at 7:30 am) I went to the official labor site and couldnt find a thing.

I would appreciate it.

thanks,
Amber

This is not at all going to be helpful information, because I’m not just in a different province, but in a different country alltogether, but I know that here it’s not uncommon for folks to work the occasional closing shift followed by an opening shift.

But, I’m sure there is a law regulating the frequency that this is allowed. Frankly, as long as you remembered your nametag and aren’t stealing any coke from the machine while you’re working, then I don’t see how they can make you work two shifts in a row like that.

You’re not helping.

Love you anyway. Except for that remark in the Madonna/Britney thread. That one very nearly got you UN-invited. Bite your tongue.

Ha! I almost didn’t post it. I thought, ‘well, if I say this, maybe lola won’t love me anymore!’

But, in the immortal words of both David Hasselhoff and Marcel Marceau, I decided to ‘be true to mine self’, and off the post went.
So, you guys coming to the Burlington dopefest? Thread’s on the front page of MPSIMS right now. Go post to it! Do it now!

May I suggest you call whichever régie it was whose website you were looking at?

OK well, if you don’t want to get to hang out with lesbians, drink free beer, play with PLaystsation 2 and go swimming in our indoor pool (and maybe get to watch us make out), I guess that’s your choice.

We’ll look into the Dopefest, but I don’t have a job yet, so money may be tight.
