Any particular reason you’re assuming Enterprise involves branching? I can’t really address Year of Hell, as it was an arc on Star Trek : Lost in Space, which I didn’t watch.

Year of Hell erased itself, and there’s no reason to think Enterprise was an alternate anything; it’s referenced in both timelines because it took place before Nero showed up and made Vulcan art really, really valuable.
