Truth be told, the events in Star Trek couldn’t exist in our universe, primary or otherwise. Well, unless there was a Eugenics War in 1992 that didn’t make the papers.

Since both the logic and the pacifism came from the same historical event, I wonder what happened? In my foggy, mostly-senile brain it seems I recall that a hero/philosopher (whose name we learned but I forget) led the movement for logic and peace because the Vulcans almost destroyed themselves in a war. Yes? No?

It was Surak and so far as I can remember without checking my Star Trek encyclopedia or startrek.com, you’re right.

This is close to what I was going to say. The oppo-verse had the good guys as bad, the bad guys as good (sometimes) and all the hot women were dressed in skimpy clothes or tight leather and hornier than heck. Barring the constant fear of death, it sounds like we are in the wrong universe…
