Question about US offical buildings/centres in foreign counteries

Does anyone knows if there are any US official building(s) in foreign counteries (any country in the world) that are named after a US president or a leader (e.g Washington, ML King etc)? I’m sure there can be a lot of such buildings/centers that are established or operated by private US business but I’m looking for official US building that’s not named “American Center” but rather something like “Washington Center” or “Martin Luther King Muesuem” etc.

I’ve a bet going on with a friend who says that American official buildings or property in foreign counteries are not named after US leaders/presidents but rather are more representative of the US name itself.

Even if you know that there is some section within an official building like “Washinton auditorium” or “Lincoln Hall” etc. Thanks.

I’m assuming that “US official buildings in foreign countries” means things like embassies and consulates, so I’ll base my answer on those.

Here in Canada, at least, I’ve only ever heard such buildings referred to as “the US embassy” or “the American consulate,” or similar. As far as I can tell, such buildings here are not named for American presidents or historical figures.

Do military buildings qualify as official? I have come across a lot of US military facilities here in Germany that were named after some military figure, such as Patch Barracks near Stuttgart and Patton Barracks in Heidelberg. As some of those also were politicians there should be good odds of there being an Eisenhower Building or such on an US base somewhere.

tschild, thanks for the reference. I’d think that a military buildings do fall under the category. Now the question is, who was Patch? I know who Patton was.

Here in Panama the former military bases were mostly named after U.S. military figures, the most famous being Ft. Sherman and Ft. Grant. However, this may not really count since at the time they were established the Canal Zone was essentially a de facto part of the U.S.

The U.S. embassy here, as far as I know, is named “The U.S. Embassy.”
