Question for atheists: your online persona vs. real life

Its like that by me too.

Yes, the best non-public school that I can afford is religion based and yes, I smile a lot & evade lots o questions IRL. Its still a good education, except for religion class, and its better than the public school by far.
Look, they rent their steeple to cellular provider for use as a celltower. I figure that the day they get all those Verizon Beotches, nattering away while they drive, to lock-in to their brand of Og (with a 2 year contract)
is they day they can get around to asking me. :dubious:

I used to be overly quiet about not bring up objections to people talking about religion. I actually like honest debates about religion or politics, but hate diatribes and knockdown fights. One close friend and I used to regularly discuss our differences as atheist and liberal Catholic. That was interesting and meaningful. We never convinced the other of the ultimate truths as we each saw it, but our conversations were respectful.

OTOH, I finally got tired on my Southern Methodist constant whining about how liberals are ruining the country and the war on Christmas or whatever else Fox was pushing that week. While I never actually told him his god made as little sense as Father Christmas, it was headed in that direction.

Online, I don’t think I’m particularly annoying about Christianity. Mormonism, sure, but that started when there used to be a Mormon Mafia which would give IMHO complete BS answers to what they actually believe.
