I don’t get it.
I am neither Adam nor Eve.
Just thought I should mention it.
Are you at least on a raft?
I am not an Eve.
Nor an Eve’s son am I.
But I’ll pluck those figs until the day I die.
I am a Turtle!
Can I have my medication now?

Walloon, my guess is that Larry Mudd misread the question, “Did any other actor ever work with Kubrick more than once?” as “Did any other actor ever work with Sellers more than once?” And then he gave three films in which Sellers played multiple roles, IOW Sellers working with Sellers.
We seem to be well past Eve into Darkest Night.
I didn’t really mean the question to be taken quite so literally. I’ve just heard that Stanley Kubrick was difficult for actors to work for (not personally unpleasant, just very, very exacting in what he wanted, and would shoot a scene as many times as it took to get it right). When someone mentioned directors who worked with Sellers more than once, I thought it was odd that one of them was known to not do much repeat work with actors.
Am I the first one here to think that not only was Sellers rather unpleasant, but also his reported talent was greatly exaggerated?
Thought so.
Argh. :smack:
Even now there may be hope…
I heard Sellers was a Judo blackbelt, I wonder what he was like as a Judoka tot rain with?
I apologize for hijacking this thread by actually addressing one of the issues – but the answer to this question is “no.” My mother was bipolar, and I assure you, none of the shrinks she saw during the '60s had a clue what the problem was. She was finally diagnosed in the mid '70s, IIRC.
Spike Milligan (another Goon) was also bipolar, in fact only Harry Secombe of the Goons seems to have been sane in his real life.
Just think how anticlimactic it will be when Eve really shows up….
Personally, I’m hoping for a surprisel guest appearance by Eve 6, stunning the world with their unannounced comeback right here on the Straight Dope!
I was Eve for 20 minutes in the 60’s
I have just stumbled upon this message board. I find all of this extremely funny and want to let everyone here know you have brightened my day immeasurably. Thanks!
I hope for the sake of your toes you hit the soft and mushy MPSIMS or CS and not the hard and sharp Pit or GQ.
Just stumbled upon us? Come back when you are slobbering drunk…then post about how pathetic your life is in great detail.
It’s kinda an unwritten rule. Or not. Dopers who do this gain a special part in our cold, cold hearts and sometimes even become immortalized or, better, cliched.
Oh, and I am still not Eve and I don’t have a raft.
Ah, you’re a 1960s-style “death Eve.”
It’s always an** Eve** Event… or maybe not.
Thanks, twickster, that’s what I suspected would be the case. I thought the writer was being a bit dense about what would have been possible/likely then compared to now.
We now return you to your search for Eve.
