Question for fine cigar smokers

I’ve let half a box of very good quality smokes dry out completely. Is there any hope in bringing them back to full body flavor by re-humidifying them or is thier life over?

Second part, if they CAN be brought back… what is the best way if I dont have a humidor or anyway to precisly control humidity?

Thanks

The short answer is no.

If that didn’t deter you, you can attempt to make them smoke-able again by very slowly re-humidifying them. That is to say put them in a sealed container with a humidity gauge and a chunk of florist wet Oasis foam that is only very slightly moistened with water. Initially only increase the relative humidity by about 5%. Then increase it very slowly over a week or so until you reach the optimal 65%-70%.

But the real answer is no. Many of the oils and micro-biological processes that are desirable are lost when cigars dry out.
