Second-guessing Manhattan, I’d say it’s because the same question was put in two different forums - bad, bad, bad thing to do. The question was also opened in MPSIMS and had garnered quite a few answers there.
It’s hard to “accidentally” cross-post (unless your siamese twin was napping when you posted, then posted the same question elsewhere while you were napping…).

We find it difficult to believe that two totally different people would ask the same obscure question.
I’d like an explanation besides the one I just came up with, because if that’s what’s going on we will remove posting privileges from both names. Best speak up pretty quick.

Butting my head in here because Daffodil has not made it clear: the other GQ thread was started by Pessor too, not Daffodil.
Both posts (GQ and MPSIMS) were started by one person - Pessor.
Daffodil was confused why crossposting was bad, and asked about Pessor’s posts. Daffodil just copied all of manhattan’s response to the GQ thread.
No sock puppets or multiple IDs involved.
TubaDiva, it was Pessor who was the OP’er for both threads. S/he even asked the second thread to be closed after the question was answered. Just looks like someone who doesn’t post a lot of questions and needed an answer in a hurry panicked and cross posted. Daffodil just asked why the thread was closed. Perhaps she didn’t even see the MPSIMS thread and didn’t know what “cross posting” meant in Manhattan’s closure statement.

No, Tuba, daffodil, and gang, I’m the one who owes both Tuba and daffodil an abject apology, as I was the one who accused daffodil of also being Pessor.
Although it wasn’t that I thought both daffodil and Pessor had posed the same question - it was daffodil’s suprising and somewhat defensive OP appearing hours after Pessor had politely, gratefully, and apparently happily received his answer over in MPSIMS and gone his merry way that triggered by accusations. My only defense is that the current situation has made me abnormally suspicious and trigger-happy.

Talk about your appropriate UserNames. Careful about bashing the mods. It was just a mistake. Coosa was not trolling as evidenced by the apologies. And it has been a rough week for everyone, people are a bit on edge, serious crap in the world. We are a community, as you shall see, and look out for each other here.
Plus, I am strangely and inappropriately attracted to the female mods. I have a very alluring picture in my mind’s eye of how TubaDiva looks, all curled up and seductive like, her brass nicely polished, her lower lip quivering and damp from the mouthpiece.
