Question on The Sims and expansion packs

I own the original game and have been thinking about purchasing one of the expansion packs. I can’t justify buying both expansions, so I have to chose one.

I’m not interested in most of the weird stuff in Livin’ Large, but the new career tracks are appealing. I am interested in all the neat social stuff with House Party.

My question is, Do the new career tracks come with House Party? I saw a blurb in a player review that led me to believe this, but I was unable to confirm this anywhere else.

Can someone who has the game confirm this? Or find a reliable site that confirms that the new career tracks are included in House Party without the need to buy Livin’ Large.

If you want to get an expansion pack, I would wait for Hot Date. It allows you to actually leave the house and go to different areas. Plus, then Livin’ Large career tracks aren’t that great anyway.

Thanks for the input. I read up on “Hot Date”. From what I can see so far, I’m not very interested in that expansion pack either. It would still be great if the “House Party” expansion had the extra career tracks (without the need to have “Livin’ Large”). Maybe someone can do an experiment and see.
