Question re the interaction of MAOIs and tyramine

Hello all, I know that ingesting tyramine-rich food is dangerous while taking MAOIs; what I would like to know is whether those foods will also cancel out the action of the MAOI?

To be clear, I am talking about having some nice red wine (Wild Hare Zinfandel, mmmmm!) and a bit of Gorgonzola while taking gingko as a (weak) reversible MAOI. I am on the lookout for hypertensive crisis, but I don’t think it’s likely with the weak action of gingko. But if it’s going to be counterproductive, I’ll just have to wait.

(I did read the relevant wiki page on tyramine, but it doesn’t appear to answer this question.)

Thanks!
