Question RE the sensation associated to being hit in the nose.

I am trying to describe my seizures better, and was looking for input on ways to usefully describe some feelings.

I sometimes get a sensation in my nose that I can only relate to a similar sensation I got when I was young and got hit in my nose in the playground. There is no pain but there is a kind of “tingly” feeling that starts there. Would this be related to the fight or flight response? If anyone has information about this feeling, could you please try to give me more useful words to describe it?

I am feeling quite frustrated right now because of my inability to describe the feelings I get during seizures.

You might find some posts on here that will help: http://www.epilepsy.com/connect/forums/teen-zone/does-anyone-else-feel-you-know-when-your-seizure-coming

There is also a link, for which you have to register.

Thanks for sharing that.

I am familiar with most aspects of epilepsy such as auras and simple partials, but I was mostly wondering about the cause or mechanism behind this specific feeling that I get. IE. What mechanism causes my nose/face to “tingle” in such a manner?

I have a while to wait before I speak to my neurologist again, and was wondering if any people here happened to have information regarding the topic. The only way that I can think to relate the feeling is by comparing it to the feeling you get when you get hit hard in the nose/face, as I noted above.
