How do we know that Dunning and Kruger are not themselves victims of the Dunning–Kruger effect?
Stigler’s Law, that things don’t get named after the person who discovered it, wasn’t first stated by Stigler.
They are. We all are.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is, AFAIK, something that affects everyone in their areas of incompetence. (The real question is, does it affect in you in areas that are really important for your or other people’s lives?)
I haven’t studied the issue, but I’m certain they’re not.
