Quick--How old are you?

I’ve always had trouble remembering my age. I’m 18, but half the time my first instinct is that I’m 15, 16, 17, 19, or 20. At least I’m close, right? Of course, it doesn’t halp that my parents always think that I’m a year or two older than I am.

But then, my father honestly can’t even remember his age with prompting. I’ve had to take his birthday and show him the math and he still won’t believe me. I’m fairly certain he thinks he’s 46 right now (he’s 49). And no, he isn’t just saying that. He’s serious.

I’ve had that probably too. I’m just now adjusting to the idea of being 18, and I’ll be 19 in September.

I’m 31, but I don’t feel a day over 30.

I’m 80 days from 21.

Until just recently, I had the problem described. Between my 18th and 20th birthdays, I could never remember. 18 wasn’t much for me, and I usually have to think when people ask me how old I am.

Now, on the other hand, I know. To the day, as you can see.

Every year I wonder how old my dad’s gonna be on his next birthday, but each year he seems to be turning 39… I must be getting mixed up. I wonder how old he’ll be next year… He tells me that age isn’t like height-- I’ll never be as tall as he is, but someday I may be older.

I am 61. I can’t forget my age because I get constant reminders from my aching body.

I just turned 30 a few years ago. Surprisingly, it was fairly non-traumatic. No one pointed their fingers and laughed because I turned 30. They usually do it for other reasons.

32!

As of 4:15 this morning!

I am 27, and I didn’t feel old until my room mate’s brother (17) came down to spend the summer with us.

I am amazed at how much stuff I remember that he has never even heard of.

I have my son for a month this summer, and the other day he asked me how old I was. I told him I was 27, and he replied that I needed to be careful because his Grandma just fell down and hurt her hip…and I am almost as old as her.

33…

I will be 34 end of September…

I’m a particularly immature 26.

Umm… uh… 27… That’s right!

The only person whose age I have trouble remembering is my mother’s. She was born in 1943, which would make her 57 this year. For some reason, I have it stuck in my head that she’s 42. (I suppose this is because we got her a “Gorilla Gram” for her 42nd birthday, and I accidently opened the door instead of her. That guy scared the sh*t out of me!)

Let’s see. Dad is 63 in a week, Mom is 57, oldest brother is 45 (he’s adopted) oldest sister is 44 (from Dad’s first marriage), next sis is 40 in August, next sis is 38 in August, youngest brother is 26, youngest sister is 24. Jeez. Oh, it’s fun to explain that my oldest brother is only 12 years younger than my mom. You should see the looks on people’s faces!

This thread makes me want to go buy birthday cards…

  1. Ancient, really. I’ll be 33 at the end of August.

I do have to think for a second, sometimes. I hate getting older. I’ve already lost any mental sharpness I might have had when I was a kid, and this “Wisdom” stuff is a poor substitute. Being bald I got used to, but I’ll never like this gray hairs bit.

This is impressive. We might be the oldest Message Board in cyberspace.

I’m 40. And I’ve just started to get back pains. Any of you other old farts have any good exercises to suggest, or should I just go straight for the morphine bottle?

38 and I do have hard to belive it.
Well, it’s how you feel inside that counts,
and I don’t feel more then 25.

None of you would notice/care that I just told you that today is my birthday.

No post party for you!

I am 25 years old & I act as a 16 year old would!!!
