Quick Poll: What was your GPA in high school?

3.4

At graduation: 3.2

4.1 (We got a fraction of a point extra for the Advanced Placement courses we took.)

3.8
I also got a 29 on the ACTs with a hangover and arriving 1/2 hour late.

4.01

AP and Honors classes were weighted (A=5, B=4, etc). My high school even had these basic classes that were so easy they had A=3, B=2, etc. for them. You got penalized in your GPA for taking them!
I wish I could remember what mine was non-weighted, but we so rarely saw that number. I wonder if I have all of my old report cards filed away…

4.55

Ditto on the AP class craziness.

2.11

My college gpa was only marginally better. Yes, I went through life as a ‘C’ student.

3.8

But as I come to the end of my undergrad degree I am clinging to my 3.0 like that cat in the ‘Hanging in there’ posters.

Mine was a 4.7 on an 6 point scale, courtesy of upper level classes.

It would have been higher had I not had problems with my math classes, and taken many classes at a lower level after school and in the summer so I could graduate early.

Unfortunately, in college Im desperately working for my 2.8, and its probably going to drop further because of really hard (math based! ew!) classes this semester.

3.8

I only took two AP classes - History and English, I believe. Didn’t do so well in History, but did well in English. They were “weighted” one point higher than regular classes.

32 on the ACT, never took the SAT.

My college GPA is not nearly so impressive, thanks to being young and stupid and stubbornly incapable of officially dropping classes I hadn’t attended for weeks. :smack:

1.8 or 1.9, maybe, and that was with taking a few AP classes. I’m going to community college right now, and I pretty much have straight As. Yeah, high school really didn’t work for me.

I don’t even know. It was terrible, bottom of the class. Not bottom quarter, like last-place-or-close-to-it terrible. Salutatorian in law school, though.

Upon graduation, 4.2

3.895 / rank 5 of 511

It was something like a 3.6 in High School (which was the bottom half of my class oddly enough… bunch of smartypants) and a 3.0 in College. I totally could have been a straight A student, but choose to drink and smoke… a lot, and skip every class I possibly could.

As an English chappie, I always thought the maximum for this (Grade Point Average, right?)was 4.0.

My comparison would be always getting above 90% in Maths exams.

Wow, you sound like me. I had a 3.83 though, (our GPAs weren’t weighted).

-foxy

I’m not sure, but I think about 3.2. I think we need dates for context, though. I graduated in 1980.

4.757 weighted, 4.0 weighted. AP and honors classes both counted as +1, so it wasn’t uncommon to have weighted GPAs over 4.0

Class of ‘87. GPA of 3.4, with physics and calculus on the plate.
Didn’t makes no matter howin’ I forgots all dat stuff by now anyways.
