“Love Her Madly” is playing while Jenny walks out on one of her druggie boyfriends. “Freebird” is playing as she contemplates taking the last leap of faith from the balcony.
Ya know, “Free Bird” (it’s two words, right?) was the first thing I thought when I saw this thread title – unfortunately the board was in Sticky Molasses Mode last night and I wasn’t able to be the first to respond…
My first thought was Rabble Rouser by Mungo Jerry. Great song that only oldies fans know.
And I swear to God that if I had been standing on that ledge and heard Free Bird come on, I really would have jumped.
I thought “Rebel Rouser” was done by Duane Eddy.
Mr. Blue Sky, it is, it was, and it was used during the “Run, Forrest, run!” scene, not the one in question.
I do not dispute that there may be a song “Rabble Rouser” by Mungo Jerry, but I don’t think it’s used in Forrest Gump
