The Henry is nice; was previously a Ritz, now owned by the Hilton Corporation, and very posh.
DMark, you could always place the story in 1989, when both the Ritz (hotel) and the Ritz (club venue in Roseville) were open.
Isn’t there a Four Seasons hotel in Dearborn?
I’m not from around there, but that’s exactly what I think of when I think of Dearborn, Michigan: awesome Middle Eastern food.
Yeah, I was going to say. US 12 runs across the southern end of Chicago along 95th Street (joining US20), before hooking up with LaGrange/Mannheim/US 45 and shooting up north along the southwestern, western, and northwestern suburbs. There is an intersection of 95th and Michigan, so technically US12 does touch Michigan Avenue, but only at that spot. While in Chicago proper, US12 is east-west, while (as you said) Michigan Avenue is north-south. AFAIK, Michigan Avenue does not have any US Route associated with it. Now, Lake Shore Drive does – US 41 – but that runs from Florida up to the Yoop.
