Retro came easily to me the other day for a guess, but it was nowhere to be found in my brain today - lol. I also couldn’t see Sauna either. Need to go back to bed. 
Could have also been TIGHT, and I recently had WIGHT in sedecordle, although quordle may not use the same word list.

Oh, you’re right! I was luckier than I thought then. I sometimes forget to think of the first and last letters being the same. I had thought of Wight, but didn’t think it would be on the answer list, though you never know.
I’m always a little surprised when people here post “I had a choice between two words,…” Even when I think I know the possible answers, I always figure there could be other possibilities that I’m not seeing.

Interesting words tonight. CRATE and CRAVE; once you got one, you probably got the other. I don’t know if that makes it easier or harder. And both were slightly trappy; CRAVE or CARVE, CRATE or CATER.
SPIKE turned out to be a bit of a wasted guess, except a yellow Y in fifth position eliminates a lot of possibilities. That gave me what I needed for NYLON.

I needed two sleuth words for this one! And Nylon wasn’t even on my radar, but thankfully it was the only choice at that point.
I didn’t …I had Crane, Crape, Crave, and Craze to choose from.
I didn’t mean that you’d get it immediately, but with four green letters there’s a pretty good chance you’ll solve the word before running out of guesses.
