A bigger challenge than yesterday’s game…there were several choices for each word (not including Prose). And of course I had to go with the B over the M for the #2 word.

If I guess unique letters the answer is a double letter. If I guess double letters, the answer is unique letters.
But it gave you some good info at least.

I was happy to be playing least solved first because I had no idea what PLA_T could be other than plant. Unfortunately I got dropped into a pretty tough trap, followed by a tough word. By the end I had revealed the I but have no idea what a plait is.

Some tough words today in both games. Toady was a double mistake; not sure why I didn’t play today ahead of toady. Of course A was confirmed to not be in third position, but also not in fourth position either, so it was going to be a mistake either way.

I was so sure the #4 word was Trail. I then thought, could it really be Plait? Couldn’t see anything else, but I decided to solve Print first, and yep, it’s Plait.
@chiliwillybing, I put my hair in a braid often, but I never have called it a plait. I don’t think anyone uses it anymore, at least I never hear it.

Sequence stepping up to represent the obnoxious answers. Debar, seriously? I had no idea after rebar and had to check every single letter to see what didn’t come up red. Never heard of it before; I figured it was when you remove rebar from reinforced concrete, like declawing a cat.

Daunt is obnoxious. Nobody uses the word daunt. Daunting, sure. Dauntless, maybe. But daunt all by itself? Bullshit. It would be like someone unironically saying they are whelmed. Try searching the SDMB for anybody ever using the word daunt in a sentence.
Once I had clinched a fail I just answered the other two that were obvious.

Annoying trap word got me. And I agree with @EllisDee…no one uses Daunt by itself like that, so it was last on my list - I have to keep reminding myself, this isn’t Wordle where words like that are unlikely in that game (though they’ve done it before).
Good job on your 3456 for Sequence Ellis!
