I always feel lucky when that happens, but then it always screws me up on down the line, because I forget I’m still missing some vowels. Like today I got down to # 3 with B,L,M and spent several minutes trying to figure out a B, L,M,U word before it finally dawned on me the O was still out too.

Still having a hard time solving the first word in this game, but once I did, all went smoothly. I had Badly and Madly, and this time I took a chance on the M over the B. But then when I had Gloom and Bloom, I thought ok…it’s gotta be Bloom.

Tried something different since quordle has been annoying me so much lately. Same hard mode rules except that instead of having to work on the most solved answer, I switched to the least solved answer. It was more interesting until they reopened my tatty wound with tabby. That just reminded me how annoyed I am with this game. Not that tabby is a bad word, it’s fine. It’s just that it’s only a few days removed from tatty.
Also made a mistake guessing class when plant already showed L as yellow in second position. Two mistakes if you count guessing taffy before tabby. Whenever there’s a coin flip and a B is involved, go with the B!

Also thought I’d try sequence again to see if maybe I just prefer it to quordle. I kind of do. Felt really good about manic here, but alas. But at least that’s an example of a good and fun kind of miss. Seriously, that tatty was some bullshit.
Note that I didn’t think ennui was the actual answer. I just liked the idea of checking two more vowels and it fit. I hadn’t seen anything else that fit before I saw it.

I had a good start with solving TEASE in 2. Then I got lucky with STYLE (over Stole)…for once I won between two choices! But then things went a little south with losing the coin toss between Scalp and SCALD, and I almost went with TABBY for the ever-popular B, but changed my mind and went with Taffy, for whatever reason. All in all not a bad game though, but I’d like to catch my 7’s (17) up to and beyond my 8’s (20).

This one went smoothly, for a nice change. Though Ennui was a bit of a tricksy word, but Elfin helped nail it down. Still would like to be able to solve the first word in less guesses than I have been though, but not all missed words are a loss of course, as they help with the others.

Welcome back to Sequence @EllisDee , though be forewarned…it’s not all fun games. Though I haven’t noticed any repeated words (at least not as often as it was happening a while back), and the words all have seemed pretty common too.

Gotten again by wiser/miser. It’s interesting to me how much it infuriates me when they do duplicate answers, but here having tooth and teeth just elicits a tip of the cap from me. Fair play, that.
Also, it didn’t even occur to me that Harry was a name until I posted the answers here just now. I was a laser-focused on the verb form, as in to harass.
(Ever since Pulp Fiction I’ve been interested in American names that mean something. When the cab driver asks Butch what his name means, he replies that he’s American, our names don’t mean shit. Except, of course, Butch does mean something. It means masculine.)

I picked brisk, because right or wrong, it will uniquely identify all three. Is the first letter a “b”? If the last letter a “k”? I was lucky it was the right word, but would have gotten it in 8 if it had been wrong.

Good day today. After I solved Slosh, I could see two words for each of the remaining 3 words, and I decided to go for BRISK for #3, as that’d give me the most info for all of the words. Was really happy it was right, and it did indeed tell me what the other two words were…though Skulk wasn’t actually on my radar, but couldn’t be anything else.

Not a good game for me, at least for two of the words. Should have gone with my usual second start word (Choir) at guess 2. Press wasn’t the smartest play, but just was the first word that came to me, and Miser was the first word that came to me after that, but I went and played it last. Then I didn’t pay attention to the yellow A and was sure it was Hurry. Oh well, at least I did well in Quordle today.
