I confess I didn’t know that loath was a word; I thought both the adjective and verb form was loathe. So thanks, quordle, I learned my something new for the day. (I think I knew it long ago but forgot.)
I also fell into the vegan “Why didn’t I try B first?!” misstep, but it didn’t end up costing me. I would have 100% wasted that guess on serve/verse before guessing reuse anyway if I hadn’t already checked the V. And, frankly, I just did not see began at all.
Not in love with reuse as an answer, btw. Seems kind of weak.

Went unusually hard on the vowels this time around, having checked all five plus Y by the 4th guess.
Fifth was kind of tricky to see because I was left with _I__H, where T could not be in third position and I could not be in third or fourth. And since I had eliminated every other possible vowel, that meant it was a three-consonant ending that ended with H. That took a hot minute to see.

Thanks. I also didn’t realize the adjective and verb were spelled different, but I knew they were pronounced differently and thought hmmm, maybe there isn’t an E at the end. Now we know

I was going to go for Belch over Leech, but then thought Brass was better to try for the #1 word as it’d tell me the most for both words, but I see now that it wouldn’t have mattered…I am pretty sure I’d have chosen Grasp over Grass, so it would have been a 7 in either case, which I am happy with.

Had a couple of lucky guesses…starting with my second word. It could have been Pinky or Pinch and I figured the latter was more likely. For the next word, I was deciding between Rotor and Motor, and didn’t even see Tutor, but then that was all it could be. Then I saw S_I_E and first word that came to me was Swine 
, and I thought nooo, can’t be. LOL. I then saw Snide and went for it. No other choice but Dopey.

Never heard of synod, though google voice apparently recognizes it no problem. Fortunately it was last, and by the time I got to it there were so few letters and placement possibilities left that I could fairly quickly go through literally every single one. Synod was the only one that made a valid word.
