I don’t even know what squib means. I couldn’t find anything to fit, then thought of squid, checked to make sure it was good before hitting enter, remembered there was a B and gave that a try.

There is no world where I would have guessed bony ahead of honey. Also, I didn’t think there was an E in bony, and apparently neither does google voice.

@chiliwillybing, a squib is a blood pack under your clothes that simulates being shot. Used for moviemaking. There is also a squib kick in the NFL, which is like a regular kickoff except it bounces along the ground to force the other team to return it, eating up a few seconds. Useful if there’s only like 10 seconds left in the half.
Thanks, interesting! I have seen a squib kick used but didn’t know that’s what it was called.

All I saw was Enjoy or Endow, and when that didn’t hit I was a little perplexed. Boney? I looked it up, and it’s an uncommon spelling of Bony (@EllisDee, I was thinking the same thing as you…no E). Knowing that we have to take into consideration uncommon spellings of words is a little annoying, but I can’t complain with a 7 today.

@chiliwillybing just a reminder to put spoiler blur on your replies…I saw your post (talking about squib) when I was posting my Quordle results and hadn’t played Sequence yet, but I would have still gotten the word as it was the only one it could be, thankfully. Squib, by the way, can also be a small firecracker, or a short piece of satirical writing.
Oh darn, sorry about that, I forgot.

I see it’s “double-letter word day” today. I made a dumb move with Impel…it showed me there were 2 L’s, but it didn’t register.
This may be a stupid question, but when you see the same letter in yellow and green in one word (i.e. from Troll, the 4th spot L was yellow, and 5th spot one was green), is it showing you the yellow one is a second letter in the word or just that the L doesn’t go there (disregarding that it’s placed in the 5th spot)?
A duplicate letter green and yellow shows you that there are two of those letters in the answer. If there were only one, only one of the duplicates would have color. In that case it would either show you the green one, or if neither is in the correct position, it marks the first one as yellow. The other one is left black.
Ok, that’s what I thought. Thanks!
