Solving Leash in 2 threw me off course a bit with letter checking. I tossed up Usual without thinking things through…should have gone for Nasal first, but I didn’t see it yet. Not a fan of Basal…another uncommon word, at least it’s not in my vernacular. Then I was left with four choices for the #2 word, and I had three choices for the #4 word, so up went a sleuth word (Crimp). That sealed the deal for the last two words, thankfully. I actually was going to try Brief at guess 6, and that’d tell me which of the three words that one was, but I needed to narrow down the S words anyways.
@chiliwillybing And there you go again…nice double 6’s!

You can tell how blind I was to the word stoke. First I guessed estoc (?!), which of course I’ve never heard of but it accepted the letters. Then, still not seeing it, I actually solved bottom right first to at least check S in another position. First time I’ve ever solved out of order since I switched to solving them in order. This was really poor.

I almost forgot to play tonight. Had 5 minutes to spare and finished in just a couple of minutes…fastest I’ve solved ever - lol. Got stuck in the trap though, and I almost went with Stoke after Stove but changed at last minute…never second guess yourself.
No time for Sequence tonight.
@chiliwillybing go to your room…that’ll do with the 6’s. (j/k…nice work!)
Love it. Hi!
Don’t worry, I’m done with that now, LOL.
Looks like we all went to the last choice on that one.

Got lucky with Proud (for #1 word)…even though wrong, it at least nailed the PRO for that word, and also told me what the trap word was for #3. I then had Proof, Prowl, and Proxy though, so I went with a sleuth word to guarantee an 8. No idea what it means, but it’s always nice when it takes rando words like that.

Started out great, but chances of getting a 6, much less a 7, were foiled by the mega trap word. Didn’t feel like trying to find a good sleuth word and just took my chances, so I feel lucky to escape with an 8.
