I often forget to think of words starting with a vowel…took me a bit to see Erode.
Been there done that . Once I’m in the mindset of trying to get the word, I forget I could have saved myself some misery and gone with a sleuth word. At least you didn’t fail though. I got lucky today in that I decided to go with Drone before Broke, else I’d be sitting along side of you with a 10 too.
Nah, you made better word choices. That’s what I get for being lazy and just winging it.

That wasn’t just a fail, it was a colossal fail. I didn’t see Suite for some reason…I’d have played that over Smite, though that gave me the M for Marry (was pretty sure that was the word), but I held off on solving that one, which I don’t usually do if I’m fairly certain of a word. Wouldn’t have mattered - I’d still have failed…didn’t even see Infer.

Today would have been a good day for my Store + Chain combo. I may have had this one in 5 or 6. That would have made up for my huge fail on Quordle, but I’m good with a 7, as always.
I’m still playing, but not posting until just before midnight, like now, and the past couple days I haven’t had the energy to post quordle and sequence. Just barely managing to post wordle, which I still have to do now.
I’ve been looking for a video game to capture my fascination for the past couple months.
Tried Red Dead Redemption 2, but I never even got through the initial tutorial story part before filing it away as “could be fun later, but not in the mood.”
Tried Grounded, which I was super excited about and is exactly the kind of game that seems made for me. Everything about it is my favorite thing in gaming: survival, crafting, base building, scary spiders, engaging active combat; it’s like it takes the best of subnautica and raft (two games I played 500+ hours each) and ratchets it all up to 11. But for whatever reason it just never really clicked for me.
Tried God of War, which is probably my most anticipated game ever. It was pretty awesome until the first giant fight and all of a sudden I had to control the little kid while also controlling the main guy. Did not love that, but I’m sure I’ll get back to it.
So what has now grabbed my fascination and won’t let go in a way that none of those three killer titles could, or at least haven’t yet? Defense Zone 3, a dopey little tower defense game I already “completed” two years ago. I’m just having so much fun with it that now that I finished this cigarette, I don’t even want to take the time to post my wordle scores before getting back to it.
@SeaSun, ouch on the double fail, been there done that. I did pretty well today with a pair of 8s, and will try and post if I have any particularly good or bad scores.
Ah, so that explains it…I too was wondering where you had gone off to. I’ve only ever played adventure/hidden object games, but I know how you can get rather immersed in them though.
LOL at scary spiders…you can come over to my house and get your fill! Though most are run-of-the-mill types, I’m just not a fan. Except I found a false black widow female (venomous) in our basement a while back - never seen anything like it around here, and it scared the crap outta me…so much so that I got it in a thick blanket, put that in a storage bin with the lid on tight, tossed that in the driveway, and it’s still sitting there.
Glad you found a game to enjoy, and post whenever you feel like it, but we’ll miss seeing you on the regular.
