I didn’t get that pop up either. I have been seeing “Play Blossom our new word game!” https://www.merriam-webster.com/games/blossom-word-game
I tried it and that’s fun too, but a different type of puzzle from wordle and quordle.

I had three yellows in each quad to begin with, so a wide open board with no obvious place to start. I don’t think I’ve had that happen before.

I found I could solve 2 words without a second start word (was going to be Chant), and I thought I’d continue without one. I got lucky with Afoot as I had other choices. I then got excited…could I get this in 2345? Nope! I only had the S and E in yellow for the #3 word, and too many choices. There’s always that one tough word, though it wouldn’t have been as hard had I put Chant down for my 2nd start word. I liked taking the risk though.
I found the Sequence game…there’s a button up top of the main Quordle page. I played it, and that one is fun too…you have to solve one word at a time.
@chiliwillybing I played Blossom and that was a cute and fun game. I didn’t do that well…kept forgetting about the allowed double letters. I looked at all of the possible words, and had no idea doggoning was even a word. How would you even use that in a sentence?
I have no clue. That seems to be a big part of the game, if you want a high score, to load words up with as many pre and suffixes as possible, until they are almost nonsensical. That and compound words if you can find them.
Oh, I see Sequence now, thanks! Looks interesting.

Was looking grim after 6 when I only had a single green A in the bottom right and a single yellow E in the top left, with still four places the E could go. Fortunately I had already checked all vowels including Y, which made the last two snap into place.
EDIT: In hindsight, pretty happy I never saw brass.

Yeah, I don’t know why the bottom is cut off. I’ll have to figure out what’s up with that. I tried to redo it and got the same.
I played it like 4 wordles, but that doesn’t seem to work very well. I think we might have to come up with a new strategy for sequence.

Like @EllisDee, I didn’t see SC at all…was sure it had to be Spent, and then it took me a few secs to realize the C. Struggled with getting Worth too. My missed Broth guess told me the 4th word wasn’t Banal and had to be Naval, so I lucked out there.
@chiliwillybing Not sure what a better strategy is for this game. I just play my first word much like Wordle, and then use other common letters from there, depending on what hit, to solve that first one. The rest just fall into place, for the most part, but if not much hit, I go with same strategy of trying for the most used letters first.

I didn’t mind oaken as the last word because I had 4 of the letters by then. I thought the first word being a trap word was annoying. It could have been any of a couple of dozen words, I was much relieved when boxer turned over green.
