I just could not see the short-circuited _IGHT trap and was super grateful when the bottom right puzzle (sprig) became the most solved and forced me to switch. This now has me thinking about how difficult that trap will be for me in regular Wordle when it’s not light or night. Anything else will respond to my opener of plant with nothing but a green T on the end, which I typically follow up with crest. That could get ugly. At least forewarned is forearmed, I guess.

Definitely should have gotten 3 this week, but my start words seemed to be uniquely terrible for this set of words. I failed to use 10 unique letters again, and then used a couple guesses that were impossible because of existing yellow squares. Really, just a pile of stupid from me today.

I seem to be getting better at this game. I probably should have gotten polar in 2, and then instead of swill (silly guess) I probably should have guessed skill, which would have left me with a 2346. Still, 3457 is nothing to sneeze at.

This one was a bit of a challenge. Just had too many choices. Got lucky with Those over Whose. Thankfully Spree gave me Polar once I got that right. I didn’t even see Skull for some reason and was sure Skulk was it.
I actually played yesterday’s game, but just as I was typing in my last guess word to finish the game, it reset for the next day’s game before my eyes, and I lost everything. I would have gotten a 4-3-6-5…go figure. Lesson learned not to play so close to midnight when the board refreshes to the next puzzle.

Denied! That first trap really hamstrung me, and then I really wanted to guess break before freak but I saw freak first. I actually would have gone with break anyway, but with what just happened for me in the regular world game (spoiler) I felt like the universe was telling me to stick with freak. Turns out the universe was fucking with me.
For the last word (nothing but an E!) I was down to DECOY and MOVED and opted for decoy because it’s not a generic past tense. What the fuck is a covey? I call bullshit. I’m not saying this was a bullshit loss; this had loss written all over it for me from the get-go. I’m saying covey specifically is a bullshit word for the answer list.
Incidentally, when I started using this style of hard mode rules, before I had played the first game this puzzle is exactly how I expected it to go around half the time. So no harm no foul, except for covey. (And of course google is mocking me by properly interpreting it when I say it.)

I thought I had my first decision after 2 when I had two puzzles that both had two greens and one yellow. But then I realized in one of them, the yellow could go in three different places, but in the other it could only go in two places, so in that other one I had more information. This same situation then happened again after guess 4. I still have yet to experience my first decision.
Guessing seamy before cease was an unfortunate unforced error.

I had to look up Covey before I played it. I do now think I’ve heard of it before, but not sure how commonly it is used. Hey, look at that covey of partridges over there! Yeah, no. Nor do I hear people say “covey of people” for a small group. Then again, this game isn’t curated by a person (like Wordle is), as far as I know, and so anything pretty much goes. Anyhow, I got lucky with two words, and unlucky with two others. So I’ll take the 8 and be happy I didn’t fail.
Did anyone else get the pop-up at the end of the game that suggested to play Quordle’s new game called Sequence? I clicked on it and got a 404 page saying it didn’t exist.
I didn’t get the popup, but I’ll keep my eye out for it.
