Quote from film Pixels

“Hi.Ludlow Lamonsoff. We’d actually met before but you will not remember because it was in the back of Brenner’s van and I was watching through the window. sniff You smell so nice like the book of Genesis.”

What does smell like book of Genesis mean?
Or is that just showing that Lamonsoff is nuts?

Welcome to the Straight Dope message board. I hope you have fun here, and get some good answers to your question. I have moved it to Cafe Society, our forum for literature, movies, food, etc.

Welcome to the SDMB!

I think that is what it is meant to convey.

It clearly is meant to show the character as odd. What the sentence means otherwise probably doesn’t reveal anything from grammatical examination.

It’s probably an oblique reference to the Garden of Eden, but yeah, Lamonsoff is nuts, as well as an asshole.

The movie is better than expected, mostly due to Kevin James portrayal of President Chris Christie.

New things smell good. New creation probably smells amazing

Imagine a world that has literally never been shit in. Amazing.

That’s only for a few pages. Eventually things turn bad, and then later really bad.
