Um.
huh?
C’mon you HBO having people, fess it up.
Thank God I gave in and watched the last episode to see if going back and renting the previous seasons would be worthwhile.
I just saved a bundle.
Chase can kiss my ass. What was that shit?
23 highway-- that’s not so bad!
So it’s all the same in Soprano-Land, I guess. Will we ever know if that guy who went into the bathroom was going to come out, ala Michael Corleone, guns ablazin’? Or was that all manufactured tension for the last 10 minutes?
It seems that Tony will be indicted due to Carlo’s testimony and he’ll go to jail. Life goes on until then. Unless there’s some interpretation of the ending that I missed…?
BTW, I don’t know if this thread is supposed to have spoilers or not. If it’s not, someone report this post.
F chase.
Nothing happens. Cut to credits. wtf.
I was about 2 minutes behind because I had to pause. Did I miss something because it was all suspense building and then credits?
Tony and wife and son are in the restaurant, we see shady guy leave bar and go into the bathroom (it seems obvious to me that this guy might be causing some shit). Daughter finally parallel parks her car after the third try and comes inside (right when we think we’ll see Tony die). Only as Tony looks up and meets his daughter’s eyes, the screen blacks out. Hold for 10 seconds, roll credits. Nothing happened.
Actually, if you haven’t watched the show all along, it would still be worthwhile to see all of it. It’s quite good.
And tonight’s episode was great, in a way. It was totally tense. (Actually, it kind of reminded me of the Seinfeld finale, which was another unpopular ending, given the overblown expectations.)
Tony and Carm are in a diner. AJ comes in. There are various suspicious characters you think may whack someone. Meadow can’t get parked, so you think her being late is going to spare her…she walks in… shady character approaches the table but passes it…cut to black…nothing else…
The end
it was directorial genius. The entire country is on the edge of their seat. Waiting…waiting. Then: Pfft.
Plus it keeps the possibility open for future movies and such.
What did Meadow’s boyfriend say about indicting the municipal official for corruption? Was that someone involved in one of Tony’s deals? Could that have come back to bite him?
I want my hour back.
Life in mobsterville goes on. New people new problems.
I honestly don’t know what to think.
I can’t even get on www.nj.com to read Alan Sepinwall’s recap for the Star Ledger - I have a feeling the server has been crashed by pissed fans. lol
VCNJ~
Warning: Spoiler:
The last words in the music were “Don’t stop.” And then the audio was cut as the screen went blank.
Exactly. Everyone expected a slaughterfest, and that’s exactly what we didn’t get. (I did cringe when Phil’s head got crushed.)
I wasn’t pissed. After all, it was a surprise ending…
Well…looked like all AJ needed was a new BMW M3 and a hot model girlfriend to pick him up!
