Rabbit-Proof Fence (spoilers!)

The only cite I’ve found is alleged by an Andrew Bolt who cites many “myths” about the film (here’s the text), though he doesn’t really dwell on Craig’s issues so much as his own re: the historical accuracy of the film. Bolt used as his citation the original book by Doris Pilkington, though Pilkington said:

In addition, the director and screenwriter of RPF in turn responded to his article in a point-by-point basis (though I can’t find a full text of that yet, here’s a list of some of the arguments), as did Australian historian Robert Manne>

Thanks, Dex. I wasn’t thinking about spoilers, I was thinking about what happened to the girls after. I’ll try to be more careful next time.

Wow! Talk about (nearly) instant gratification! The ran it on “True Stories” network (or whatever it was) tonight and I just finished watching it.

I give it a “thumbs-up”. Quite a moving film, even knowing the principle subject didn’t seem to think it was good. Of course, a story like that, how could they have done justice to it?

By the way, where I live looks disturbingly like the outback, except I have alpine lakes, trees and snow within a half-hour drive.
