Name this Movie 2

I saw this movie when i was quite young, and remember finding it rather interesting anyway.

it may be Australian but to be honest cant quite remember

There is a fairly rural school, and children ask to go to the bathroom, when they do they are kidnapped by men wearing various masks from memory pig masks.

The teacher also eventually is kidnapped and they all get taken away on the school bus and the kidnappers eventually trap them inside a cave.
The kids and teacher then have to try to find a way out of the cave and end up getting out by swimming underwater through part of the cave.

Anyone know this movie

(sorry thats all i can remember, i saw it about 12 years ago

It sounds similar to They’ve Taken Our Children: The Chowchilla Kidnapping, based on a real-life 1976 mass kidnapping of schoolchildren. The kidnappers hauled away their prisoners on a schoolbus, which they buried in a quarry.

Correction: The real-life kidnappers took their prisoners off a schoolbus, transferred them to vans and buried the vans in a quarry, though I can’t speak to how accurate the movie was.

the synopsis there sounds similar but a bit different. i will research that movie see if its the one i was thinking of. The most prominent thing that stands out in my mind is the pig masks

I knew I’d seen this one, but I couldn’t remember the name. Finally found it.

Fortress (1986)

Dammit, Sublight beat me to it. But I can still say that it featured a guy I grew up with (the bully who can’t swim).

Does this film feature a scene where some kids slide down a rope or cable suspended over the quarry?

I remember that scene but I don’t think it’s enough to go on to get a film title.
But hey, this movie has kids and a quarry and it’s not Breaking Away so…

I don’t remember a rope slide, but I definitely remember the cave swimming scene. This was the one that ended with a scene in the classroom, where

The police inspector is asking the teacher and class about what had happened, sounding like he suspects they’re hiding something. He makes an uneasy reference to something “missing” from one of the kidnappers, but the teacher insists that nothing happened. After the inspector leaves, the camera pans to the back of the classroom to a jar on a table. Zooming in, we see that the jar contains a human heart.

perfect thats the one.

thanks
