I remember seeing an old Indy 500 movie (late 60s/early 70s?) with an engine configuration which intrigued me.
The intake and exhaust manifolds were reversed: air and fuel were drawn into the sides, while a “bundle-o-snakes” equal length header collected exhaust at the top, which then fed a turbocharger.
I figure, this was a one-off motor with custom made components.
Are there any off-the-shelf parts which could convert a modern chevy, ford, or mopar?
