Radio airplay statistics

I was watching Bernie Taupin give an interview about his and Elton John’s new musical Lestat, and he (referring to the albums they’ve released together) mentioned, “…and, frankly, we really don’t get that much airplay anymore…”

Now come on. Bernie, my man. I know you’ve always been modest, and sometimes even too humble, but I know you guys are still pulling in millions of dollars a year just based on airplay royalties alone. Obviously you’re not being played as often as you were in the 70’s, but to the average radio listener there is still this omnipresent entity known as Elton John, and to the more informed listener, Bernie Taupin.

So my question is, is there a website that documents the amount of airplay (say, monthly or yearly) an artist is receiving? Is this even information that would be made public? I’m not so much interested in the dollar amounts being received, or in the chart placement, but rather a general idea of how many stations were playing a particular artist in a particular year.
