Shhhhhh. Don’t tell anyone!
Taught myself to program on one, changed career from medical research to software at age 30. I owe my home and early retirement to the TRS-80…
Yeah, that sounds about right. It would explain the pillow cases in what should have been the electrical section. And the crappy mints at check-out.
I’ll have you know there are some very nice Bangkok whorehouses. Harumph!
Oddly enough, when I lived in a little town in SE NM (about 16K pop) last year, I needed some soldering supplies and some wire, resistors, and ‘stuff’ for fixing some older electrics in the hotel I worked at, and I had noticed a Radio Shack sign inside a furniture store on the bigger of the two main streets. (Nice sentence structure, dude)
It took up a small back corner of the store, but it had everything I needed. Some items (that I bought just for fun) didn’t even have SKUs on them, just RS item #s. I felt like I was back in High School!
Back in the big city again, and I order stuff online or go to the local guitar/keyboard store.
That’s my point! There are NO nice Radio Shitshacks. The Shack makes WalMart seem like Goldman-Sachs.
I had this exact same issue back in July. I got mine at Meijers. I also could have gotten it at Walmart or K-Mart, I just happened to be in Meijers first.
