Radio's golden oldies.

I love this site, and I thought I’d share it with y’all. Air Checks

If you’re a child of the sixties and seventies you’ll probably find snippets from disk jockeys that you’re familiar with. Enjoy! If I’m not the first to post a link than all I can say is that great minds think alike :slight_smile: .

Yeah, I discovered this site a few months ago. It’s great! :slight_smile:

I think it was through this site that I learned how they record (and who sings) the radio idents such as “Double-you Gee-Ennnnnnn; seven-twenty…” or what have you.

Isn’t there a link somewhere on the site that has the old WRKO (Boston) “Arko-Matic” voicers, done by a Sonovox (similar to what is referred to rather rudely on South Park as a “Cancer Kazoo”)? Creepy, yet entertaining.

You think “golden oldies” are from the 60s and 70s?

:::: sigh ::::
