Ramsey Clark's War Crimes Allegations and their veracity

In this document, Former Attorney General Ramsey Clark, among others accuses the US of war crimes in Iraq. This document is fairly horrific. I find myself believing that arab terrorism is born of legitimate grievance more and more, and that Desert Storm was perhaps, not justified. This document is fairly horrific. Does anyone have any light they can shed upon this?

(I know this is a GQ but I figured this would start a pretty vigorous debate so I put it here.)

Ramsey Clark is pretty well discredited. Here’s an article from the left-leaning Salon.com

In Grenada he went to advise Bernard Coard, the murderer of Prime Minister Maurice Bishop. Other clients include Radovan Karadzic, the indicted Bosnian Serbian war criminal whom he defended in a New York civil suit brought by Bosnian rape victims, and the Rwandan pastor who is accused of telling Tutsis to hide in his church and then summoning Hutus to massacre them, and then leading killing squads…

Attention to detail is not a major feature of his work. While claiming an intimate knowledge of events in the Balkans, only this April he addressed a letter to Bill Richardson as the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., telling him that “the U.S. assaults both Slavs and Muslims to stimulate them to attack each other and to control both.” Of course, if he had been reading newspapers other than Workers World, he would have noticed that Richardson has been energy secretary for over a year.

mswas, you should do a search on “Ramsey Clark” on the SDMB if you’re around during off-peak hours. He’s been heavily discussed before.

Suffice to say he’s a liar and kind of a nut, and he’s a favourite pet of dictators around the world. Extensive details can be found in other threads, but I wouldn’t trust Ramsey Clark to tell me the time of day. He’s one of the most dishonest people in the world.

Well, I read that website, and was wondering why this wasn’t big news, even if it wasn’t accepted. So I figured I’d ask, I guess it should have gone in GQ, as everyone who seems to know anything about the guy, agrees he’s a schmuck. ;p
