How did you go about assessing the innocence of those 4700? Your original assertion was that drones have “killed thousands of innocent people.” How did you arrive at that position?
He could have at least mixed the wording a bit…
Or just made a ‘this is from wikipedia’ comment…
You do realize that these posts don’t disappear, don’t you?
I said, “Here are some links of MSNBC hosts discussing the drone problem in a less than worshipful way.”
You said in response,“If you want to deny that Rachel Maddow worships her idealized vision of Obama be my guest.”
And now you’re trying to tell me that you had no idea I was disputing the “worshipful” part of your BS? You lost your credibility long ago, and now you’ve lost any pretense of being able to have an honest debate, however uninformed.
Oh, one more thing:
The number claimed by Pakistan is somewhat less:
“The [Pakistani] Ministry of Defense released figures to lawmakers saying that 67 civilians were among 2,227 people killed in 317 drone strikes since 2008. The remainder of those killed were Islamist militants, the ministry said.”
Husain Haqqani, a political opponent of Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif, was on Charlie Rose yesterday, and had a lot of criticism for him. But he endorsed that number of 67, so it’s evidently not just a cheap political lie from the government.
