I was following your lead. Which is it? ElvisL1ves’s Presidential elections only, or do normal forum rules apply?

Do *please *try harder. Please.
That’s why there’s no substitute for just competing nationally. win the popular vote by as little as three points and you almost certainly win the electoral vote. But I do agree that a neck and neck race favors Democrats at this point due to the map.
Cory Gardner. But look, when you define any non=Presidential election as an “off year”, that leaves you with the Presidency and er, not much else. You surrender most state legislatures and governors, and usually the House and the Senate as well.
Personally, I can live with a country where the Republicans control nearly everything but we have a Democratic head of state. If that state of affairs goes on long enough, the Presidency can be weakened through amendments and legislation and funding choices until it’s akin to most democracies’ heads of state, who are mostly just figureheads, with the real power residing in the head of the legislature.
At least initially, Rand Paul appears to be the most electable Republican, doing a little better in matchups with Clinton than others. Has anyone like Nate Silver drilled down into the data to find out why? Is he doing better among independents, winning some anti-war liberals? Is he doing better among minorities? Is he gaining a couple of points from people who usually don’t vote?
I figure it’s Charlie Pierce’s “five-minute rule” about the Pauls. Listen to one of them for up to five minutes and you’ll generally agree with what they’re saying. Any longer than that and they start going absolutely crazy.
Unless Ron Paul is talking to a woman reporter, then shit goes down pretty fast the second she dares to interrupt him with facts. Seriously, I have never seen a presidential contender tell someone to “Shhhh” coupled with putting a finger to the lips. He really thinks women are stupid like children, doesnt he? (I don’t discount that it might have happened elsewhere but I haven’t seen it)
Y’all read a lot into a single poll in a single state that goes against all the others don’t you?
FWIW (which aint diddly) in NC Huckabee does best in a head to head against Clinton.
Would losing to Paul in the Iowa Caucuses mean Hillary is less likely to win the Republican nomination?
