Random Tough Entertainment Trivia Questions

Can you get these without Googling? Let’s find out!

  1. What two British actresses both celebrated their birthdays yesterday? (Right now, “yesterday” is October 5, 2005.)

  4. Who came to the rescue when Senator Chapman’s boat was attacked by the Imperial Japanese Navy?

  5. Actress Jennifer Hale is one of the hardest working small screen actresses around, so why do you so rarely see her work on TV?

  6. Takashi Shimura, Noriyuki Morita, Kensaku Watanabe, and Olivia de Havilland. Which one doesn’t belong? It’s not because of gender.

  8. Which of Madonna’s former buds punched out David Lowery?

  9. What weapon does Col. Stacy fire? You can call him Theresa.

  10. Who is the Onion’s “area eater,” frequently confused by buffet procedures?

Well, #4 is planes from the USS Nimitz, in The Final Countdown.

  1. Didn’t Sean Penn (ex) punch out a member of the press? I don’t know his name though.

Benjamin Disraeli.

Number 2 is Head of the Class.

#6 – Noriyuki “Pat” Morita is the only one not born in Japan. I knew it had to be something along those lines, because I’d heard that Olivia de Havilland (still alive, if you can believe it!) was born somewhere in Asia, though I’d thought it was India. Nope – Tokyo, according to imdb.

You’ve got one of the key clues, but that is not the answer.

4, 6 and 7 are all answered correctly.

Damn you! That was the only one I knew!

Oh, we do see her work, just not her- she’s a voice actress.

How about Law and Order?

I didn’t Google, but I did kinda peek at the IMDB.

I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure the teacher was Venus Flytrap and not Johnny Fever. Venus teachs a kid about the atom using an analogy about gang members called the “pros”, the “neuts” and the “elects.” Johnny overheard Venus and asked him how long he taught.

yeah IIRC Johnny Fever was passed out behind a record shelf and heard the whole thing take place

He’s not talking about an episode of WKRP. He’s talking about the show “Head of the Class” which had Howard Hesseman and Billy Connoly both play the main character, a teacher of G & T students. One of the students (the pretty redhead) was played by Khrystyne Haje. Along with Megan Follows (Anne) and JK Simmons (JJJ), all were guest stars of Law & Order.

I don’t know who Mathasar is, which will probably offend some legion of geekdom somewhere.

Okay I did Google this. I see Mathasar is a character from Galaxy Quest played by Enrico Colantoni, also a guest star in Law & Order.

Come on. Someone has to get this one. It was bothering me all weekend.

But more importantly, he’s Veronica Mars’ wonderful father, Keith.

You guys did get the Law & Order question, and have divined all the actors referred to.
