Rank the Bond movies from best to worst.

  1. From Russia With Love
  2. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
  3. Goldfinger

Really, these three are the only ones that are particularly good, although many if not most of the others are fun.

  1. Dr. No
  2. The Spy Who Loved Me
  3. For Your Eyes Only
  4. License to Kill
  5. The Man With the Golden Gun

The plot of TMWTGG (such as it is) is weak and there’s way too much camp, but Christopher Lee is one of the very best villains and he owns that film. “I like a woman in a bikini - no concealed weapons.”

  1. GoldenEye
  2. Thunderball
  3. Diamonds Are Forever
  4. You Only Live Twice
  5. Casino Royale
  6. Live and Let Die
  7. Octopussy

I must have seen that movie… twice.

  1. Tomorrow Never Dies
  2. A View to a Kill
  3. The Living Daylights
  4. Moonraker
  5. Quantum of Solace
  6. The World is Not Enough

TWINE does contain Brosnan’s most badass moment as Bond though: “I never miss.” These last three are really the only Bond films I can’t imagine wanting to watch again, although Octopussy and Casino Royale are awfully unfun too.

Never saw Die Another Day. I assume it would be toward the bottom.

After reading this thread I realize that I haven’t seen GoldenEye. I picked up a used copy on the way home for $4 and just put it in. Great opening sequence!

I haven’t seen them all, but here goes with the ones I know.

[li]From Russia With Love[/li][li]Goldfinger[/li][li]Dr. No [/li]
(from this point on, the films were never better than mediocre; Dr. No barely escapes).

[li]The Spy Who Loved Me (The film wasn’t all that better than the others, but Jaws was a great villain).[/li][li]Diamonds Are Forever (At least Connery was back)[/li][li]Thunderball (OK until the silly “cut everyone’s air hose” fight scene)[/li][li]GoldenEye[/li][li]You Only Live Twice[/li][li]For Your Eyes Only[/li][li]Live and Let Die (Yaphet Kotto mysteriously was just terrible; and the alligator footbridge was the silliest moment in the series).[/li][li]Casino Royale (My daughter actually apologized to us for recommending the film. It was stupid – Bond starting his heart – and changing the card game from Baccarat to Texas Hold 'Em was an idiotic idea). The David Niven version was better – it knew it was stupid.[/li]
The rest of the films were completely forgettable:

[li]Tomorrow Never Dies[/li][li]Quantum of Solace[/li]
[li]The World Is Not Enough[/li][li]A View to a Kill[/li][li]Die Another Day[/li][li]Moonraker (scraping the bottom).[/li][/ol]
