Rant or Treat (October Mini Rants)

So, did the socks match? My feets know when I’m wearing socks that don’t match even when they are the same color. Anyhow, Its good to know that you are feeling well enough to be snarky again. I’ve missed you.

As to dressing cats…Fred didn’t mind getting dressed up. The most he would do was lay his ears back and give me stink eye. I guess he spoiled me, he would let me do anything to him as long as I gave him scritches and kind words.

My BB told me that our youngish cats might give me more problems now, so I started with our old front declawed cat. He has back claws and knew how to use them.

All it takes is a bite on the hand near and especially on a joint. Those are not to be trivialized and both my workplaces send you off to the occupational health center immediately. Just this last Monday, I made someone go. Even after starting antibiotics her thumb went numb a couple days later and didn’t improve for a couple more days after that. I know three people who delayed treatment and ended up in the hospital with drains in their hands for days, plus one other who lost her thumb because she didn’t seek treatment when she should have.

My bet is it was a bite to the hand.

This is a preemptive mini rant…just because Hallowe’en is over it does not mean it’s ok to start putting up Christmas decorations or serving gingerbread lattes and playing Christmas carols…I’m looking at you Starbucks.

Crap. Jury duty tomorrow. First time in 68 years. In order to get there on time, I have to get up by 5:30 in order to eat, shower and catch a fucking bus. Hope I don’t get called, as my back doesn’t allow me to sit for more than an hour without a lot of problems. I don’t think a judge is going to be happy with a juror who starts squirming around after 45 minutes.

Have any paperwork (office receipts) from your doctors office with the diagnosis code for what’s wrong with your back? Take that with you.

November rants thread here

Nope. It’s from a very old injury to my tailbone. Additionally, I’m diabetic, so sitting for a long period can cause shooting pains. I have no idea what sort of chairs a jury sits in, but if it’s those typical conference room chairs, I’ll be history in about 15 minutes.

You’re almost 90 years old!?!

I’m an RVT. All part of the job!

And no, he didn’t make me breakfast. Actually, outright refused when I requested it. However, I did take a three hour nap this afternoon.

On some days. . .
