Rantings about stupid nuclear reporting, and I want to bitchslap somebody, also other crap

It could just be the alarmists media at work.

With those kind of temperatures, you might think nuclear reactions are still taking place.

No, it isn’t, but it’s ironic that you would cite info from the IAEA web site when you have claimed in the past not to believe anything they say. That cite has been used dozens of times…have you ever actually sat down and read what’s there?

After more than a month, at some point the high temperatures and production of hydrogen gas from the reactors (and fuel ponds) is going to become obvious, even to the true believer.

Blather comes out, but no information is penetrating the thick shields.

Tepco, the abbreviation for Tokyo Electric Power Company, is one of the most powerful energy companies in the world. He is also a symbol of the Japanese economic miracle after the Second World War. The group was founded in the ’50s by the merger of several regional electricity supplier. Tepco later served crucial in the rise of Japan for the world’s leading nuclear nation with. 1971, with Unit I of the damaged power plant Fukushima Japan, the first nuclear reactor to power. A technical tour de force in the eyes of many Japanese, who hailed the new power plant at the time.
Meanwhile, the company operates a total of 17 reactors in Japan. This includes the largest nuclear power plant in the world: Kashiwazki Kariwa. Together, the Tepcos facilities in Japan about as much electricity as all nuclear power plants in Germany put together. Finally, the Group recorded more than 50,000 employees generated revenue from the equivalent of almost 40 billion euros. This Tepco is one of the five largest energy companies in the world.

And after all this time, you still don’t know what ‘decay heat’ is. It’s kind of sad that you’ve learned absolutely nothing about this subject, despite having been involved in multiple discussions on this subject on this board, and despite the ‘fact’ that you are in high level discussions about all of this with ‘real’ ‘scientists’ and ‘smart people’ on your other mystery board(s). :dubious:

What TEPCO and the world government is easing the public into, is the unpleasant fact that they can’t stop this disaster. Spraying water on it keeps it from going boom or burning, but then the water leaks out and ends up in the ocean, and at some point the huge amount of material that is leaking out of reactors and fuel ponds is going to be impossible to deny.

Greenpeace did their own measurements three weeks ago, well outside the evacuation zone, and declared it a 7

French and US scientists analyzing air samples declared cores melted and leaking, weeks ago, from just the data they gathered halfway around the world.

Despite the utter nonsense and bullshit the media is feeding you, nuclear science isn’t some mystery, and nuclear scientists can tell a lot about what is going on by the isotopes leaking from the reactors.

Not that you would know any of this from watching CNN

Decay heat primer:

Wrong thread!

Lies. This thread is about making you look stupid with facts, didn’t you get the memo?

Because this would be the thread where you can make any imbecilic claim you like but no-one else is allowed to point out why you’re wrong?

Seriously, you’d be much happier with a blog. That way you could share your unique insight and perspective with the world without fear of anyone pointing out you’re talking a large, steaming pile of arse.

Yeah, but coming here to the SDMB is like Truman Capote going to California. It takes it toll mentally.

In the ineffable and interesting manner of internet, I checked the news feeds, looking for some rad reporting to rant about, and the first click I find one comment on the story and that comment mentions a book from 2005 about THIS EXACT SORT OF STORY. A work of fiction, that is now available for free.

So now I’m reading this novel instead of ranting. Sadly, there will be plenty of time for ranting to come. For a long tome to come.

Fuck. I keep hoping that somehow I’m going to be wrong. But noooo, the fuck up just continues.

That’s nice.

Maybe the work of fiction will be more suited to your knowledge base.

Just remember, radioactivity doesn’t hurt people, only words can do that.

No you don’t. You’re reveling in the disaster. You love it. It turns you on.

You have 790 total posts to this message board, and over 530 of those are in two threads on Fukushima. It’s masturbation for you. If you had showed any interest in the facts or in rational debate, i might believe that you were really concerned about this, but the leaking radiation is simply grist for your mill, fuel for your feigned outrage, and fodder for your lies and your trolling.

Mind reader troll fails.

NO, it’s true. I know because the mistress enchanted your semen, and hordes of little cumsprites keep appearing and blabbering on and on annoyingly about your self-pleasuring activities, and then… Well. I don’t want to mention what happens next.

I’m surprised the mistress hasn’t blasted you to smithereens, yet, you pillock.

If the trolls would engage in any scientific discussion, well, you wouldn’t be a troll then, would you?

I guess this place encourages mindless insults rather than conversation. Pity.
