Rantings about stupid nuclear reporting, and I want to bitchslap somebody, also other crap

The rantings of internet are supposed to be amusing. Maybe you try drinking before you post.

xtisme, he’s just mad that I started putting significant (based on his numbers in the thread) radiation sources in his compost heap.

The essential fact of life that internet idiots can’t grasp, never will, (it’s why they are idiots actually), is they can’t understand that because they type shit into the computer, that doesn’t make it reality.

Of course some insane rant we all know is just that. Some crazy fuck spilling his rage into the void, an ejection of some inner torment, something is seriously wrong, but it can be amusing.

Posting links to Japanese news stories, then Bloomberg’s coverage of the facts, along with obvious commentary, like how deadly radioactivity was found outside the buildings, it isn’t funny at all. I can see how a nuclear shitheel would go nuts over finding their sacred cow was not only gored but fried up and served with a side of plutonium.

What can they say? They can’t still deny reality, so they go on the attack, anything to avoid an honest conversation, anything to avoid looking at facts. It must be truly awful to find oneself so terribly and completely wrong.

Like how the thread started, with an absolutely insane commentary from some nuclear shithead trying to assure everyone that “fear” was the real problem, not the nuclear reactors melting down.

Of course they can’t sell that line now, and maybe they wish it would go away. Because they look like total and complete assholes in retrospect.

Sucks being them

No, the French were right when they said it was level 7. So were the independent scientists who analyzed the materials found in monitor sampling screens in Europe and America.

Now that you can’t deny it any longer, will you embrace reality at last? Or stick with denial until the bitter end?

They were right (eventually) in their SPECULATION. If you actually read what people are writing in these threads with an eye to comprehension it would seriously help in the discussion. But you are about as dense as a neutron star.

Again, no…they GUESSED correctly, but they didn’t have any proof, at the time, that their speculation was correct. Granted, their guesses were informed guesses, but they were not on site and not involved in the emergency. When you are removed from the crisis and when it really doesn’t matter you can make any guesses you like. If you are wrong, so what? If you are right then you look like a prophet. It costs you little, in such circumstances, to make an educated guess.

I was never in denial, you were just too stupid and blind to understand what I was saying. You have repeatedly strawmanned everyone who opposes you (ironically enough, considering how you’ve tossed that term, incorrectly, back at everyone), but very few denied that the situation was serious or that there was potential for disaster…or that there had been or would be radiation leaks. Most of the frustration towards you in these threads is that you seemingly can not grasp what people are trying to tell you, and instead you paint a cartoon world that exists only in your own head.

Well, seemingly you will stick to being a blithering idiot to the end, so I guess that makes us…well, not even, since the whole ‘denial’ thingy is YOUR strawman of my position, but it’s something.

Good grief, don’t do that!! You’ll turn him into a mindless zombie hungering for brains…
…er, ok, I see. He was already that, so no harm done. :smack:

Such utter nonsense, and not one of the supposed ‘internet experts’ here said a thing. The difference in types of ionizing radiation are well known, even a clueless person can easily find out that there are many kinds of radiation, and that not only is the damage to human cells different with each kind, the effect is far differtent if it is outside your body than in.

I would educate you on the matter, but it would only annoy the pig, which has no desire to sing .

That such a vast well of ignorance would attempt to take the role of teacher, and preach down from his pulpit of complete horseshit, it amuses me.

No really. It’s why I rarely correct the idiots who spew forth. Continue.

Hey, FX, speaking of teaching…it helps you not look like a raving lunatic when you think about what you want to say, and then type it all in one post.

This multipost shit has got to go.

The true believer will always focus on something besides the facts. Especially when their belief is threatened by reality.

This was obvious soon after the worst disaster in the history of nuclear power plants. Fortune had it that three of the reactors were in cold shut down at the time of loss of power, destruction of the cooling systems, and complete loss of control of a six reactor power plant.

Even so, all three shut down reactors are destroyed, and one building blew the fuck up, three days after simply losing power. With no fuel actually in the reactor at all. A shut down empty reactor is dangerous as hell. A running plutonium fired one is magnitudes worse.

The dangers and foolishness of idiots who ignored it, is now so obvious, the nuclear believer retreats into inane insults and attempts to derail any conversation that is based on facts and logic.

That you can’t see you are doing it, that is both the comedy and the tragedy of the thread.

Yeah, I think I’ll continue to listen to the actual nuclear engineers, and continue to (correctly) believe that the disaster is entirely the result of TEPCO mismanagement of an ancient design rather than an inherent flaw in nuclear power.

You have no credentials, no credibility, and most importantly no charisma. You couldn’t talk a hippie into smoking a joint, let alone make a complex and nuanced case regarding the pros and cons of nuclear power.

As you have so ably demonstrated in this thread.

http://www.mbs.jp/news/jnn_4792306_zen.shtml

Shows a JNN video taken last week. Shows work going on and workers driving around with a Geiger counter, even the 10 Sv/hour pipe. Video shows the geiger counter at 4 mSv/hour near unit 4. This is far higher than the Tepco survey maps show levels there.

Article discusses how little they still know about the radiation levels and dangers on the plant grounds.

Official version of Tepco’s report to NISA.

Reactors 1,2,3 are reported on Page 11-1

They would reach 1200°C if cooling stops.
Unit 1 is 15 hours
2 is 14 hours
3 is 13 hours

1200°C is when meltdown is guaranteed.

While I know a multiple post just annoys the living fuck out of the nuclear dingbats … wait. Nevermind.

A reminder of how I bitchslap idiots. With facts, links, logic and hard to follow shit. The more some supposed “nuclear engineer” repeats fallacies and lies, the harder I want to hit them.

See? That’s how I roll. Deal with it.

We’ve been dealing with you being an ignoramus for literally months at this point, man.

No, you and the assorted idiots have been drooling your ignorance like children since the disaster began.

You just don’t get it.

Just because you type shit doesn’t make it so. Links to actual real data and official publications are posted, you focus on personality.

Information is made available, rational fact based information is presented, and you spank your monkey.

That you still try to insist you are wise and reality is wrong, well it’s just more material for the comedy taking place.

You are the one that claimed a nuclear reactor in Nebraska was under water. Denial, thy name is FXMastermind.

That was one of the funniest parts of this entire thread. I noted that radioactive materials from a melted core, or damaged fuel rods was not the same as ‘natural’ background radiation, especially the kind you get from cosmic rays, and idiots kept insisting it was.

And now with the most recent measurements of deadly radiation outside the the containment, some idiot will still want to say it’s the same.

Not realizing of course that what is being measured outside a 2 inch thick steel pipe isn’t the alpha or beta particles, but gamma radiation.

And of course the western media hasn’t covered the story (except Bloomberg to a degree) and even Russia gave it a cursory mention.
http://english.ruvr.ru/2011/08/03/54111803.html

It’s a huge story, it’s a first. The first time in history that a nuclear disaster has deadly radiation, video, readings, and even a diagram pointing to just where it is. Oh sure we know now Chernobyl had deadly problems, but the Soviets quietly and quickly used 100,000 men to throw the shit in a pile and bury it.

This shit is inside a pipe, where the vent filters tried to prevent it all from blowing out the stack during the emergency venting.

The real problem is there is no way to do anything about it. Even robots can’t function in that level of gamma radiation. Remember the Geiger stops at 10 Sv, the real levels are much higher. The gamma ray camera shows clearly the two hot spots, which are still dosing anyone at the plant with some radiation, all the time. If you get close enough it’s enough to make you sick.

Because while distance reduces, it does not stop.

But the hilarious point is that gamma radiation is about as different from the exposure you get on a flight as can be.

We are not being bathed in gamma rays all the time. There are no gamma rays flooding airline passengers, effecting instrumentation on board planes, it’s just stupid in the extreme. To say ingesting a particle emitting gamma into your lungs is the same as ‘background radiation’ is to make yourself a fool.

Yet over and over that lie was repeated here, and elsewhere.

Somebody needs a slapping.

The attempt to switch to the flooded Nebraska plant is noted. They reported that the turbine room did flood, but they used pumps.

The barrier did fail. But no disaster occurred, and that is a good thing. Especially since it put everybody on notice they fucking need to protect that shit. Do not wait until the waters are at the door.

Just to be clear, are you claiming that it must be gamma radiation because it is coming through 2 inches of steel?

Could you define what a “particle emitting gamma” is? I’m not familiar with that term.
