Rantings about stupid nuclear reporting, and I want to bitchslap somebody, also other crap

+1

Fortune favors those who simply go back and read the thread. I started out quite clear about how idiots who started pushing their pro-nuclear bullshit simply had no shame. It didn’t take long for the thread to start being a self fulfilling one.

There is a lot more of course, but remember, this was while the disaster was still mostly an unknown, but it was obviously real fucking bad.

Of course not knowing the Pit was for idiots to dicksuck each other, I probably was wrong trying to use facts and logic and such, but the other threads were also the same endless spew from self styled pundits pushing their agenda, avoiding any facts or figures about reality.

Such is life.

The point in the OP still stands. An Australian ‘expert’ proclaiming “Japan’s nuclear crisis is mainly public panic, not radiation risk”. This was of course when he knew jackshit about the amount of material that had already coated the landscape, and before we knew for sure there were three meltdowns, and serious as hell problems with radiation leaking into the ocean as well.

This is the stupid shit nuclear shitheels did, over and over, trying to make every fucking thread about a real nuclear disaster be about how safe nuclear power is and how bad coal is.

Yeah, we fucking get it, you hate coal power plants. Of course you never started a thread about it, you don’t discuss that, you have no history of talking about coal and pollution. No, it’s only during a discussion of a present crisis that you shit up every thread with your nonsense.

It’s obvious what you were doing.

I seriously hoped early on it wasn’t as bad as it seemed, and by this point you would be mocking me for going over the top. The seriously fucked up thing is, I wasn’t anywhere close to knowing how bad it really was at the time.

Even so, the shitheel never backs down, and continues to claim bananas are dangerous, but Fukushima was just a minor problem.

I see you haven’t learned the lesson about knocking over your own straw men, yet.

From the OP:

http://news.xinhuanet.com/english2010/indepth/2011-03/26/c_13799390.htm

Until one person here who agreed with that, realizes how wrong they were, you can’t claim it’s a straw man. OK you can, but we all know you got nothing.

No, as was obvious when I asked you to simply show us. You avoided doing so, claiming some weak excuse. If there was a serious thread I would be using it, I have no problem discussing facts and reality.

I’ve done so elsewhere since the crisis began. But it’s nice to go to the pit and slap the crack pipe out of the mouth of some clueless shithead every now and then.

Sue me.

Jesus Christ, how much old shit are you going to dig up?

Are you THAT guy that comes up with a great comeback line to some asshole you meet on the street six months later?

No, he’s the guy who comes up with a completely lame and stupid comeback line six months later.

At the time it was absolutely true. Urban panic could easily have caused more destruction and claim more lives that the radiation from Fukushima will. Fortunately, people mostly remained calm. A good thing. In the long term, however, radiation is certainly a grave concern.

So, yes. Straw man. What you say people have said isn’t an accurate representation of what anyone has actually said.

:smack:

No, he’s the guy that comes up with a great comeback line to something that someone didn’t say 6 months ago.

Well thanks for being real there. The thing is, at the time it simply wasn’t true. Panic and fear were not the big problem. The reactors and fuel rods were. We know now that thanks to major fuck ups the data that would have prevented harm was either hidden or ignored.

The US was right when they said 50 miles was the distance you wanted.

If anything, the lack of real info was deadly, the radiation and fall out was much worse than they were saying.

In other news, lets not double post and combine two in one instead.

You excrete potassium all the time. The nuclear moonbat would say your urine is radioactive because it has like 16 decay events each second. More if your sodium level is high. So when you eat food with potassium it restores your levels.

At any moment you may change the decay amounts, but it simply doesn’t matter. Your body is well adapted to repairing the very small amount of beta damage that always goes on.

The entire potassium in your body is around 5000 decays a second.

In contrast, a gram of cesium is producing 86.89 Curies a second, or 3,214,930,000,000 decay events a second. Or Bq if you will.

So one gram of radiocesium equals the activity of potassium in 642,986,000 people. Yeah, that’s right. One gram of cesium is as radioactive as the potassium in 642,986,000 people. You could multiply the bananas needed to equal one gram of cesium, to understand why it’s fucking insane when somebody tries to say cesium leaking out of a reactor is not as dangerous as bananas.

Especially when you finally realize the amount of radiocesium that leaked out, or in some cases blew the fuck out in explosions.

But rave on, call it strawmen, do your dance. Dance for us, dance!

To be fair, in 12 years a gram of cesium is producing only43.4 Curies a second, so it would only equal the potassium in around 321 million people.

Asshat says-

I simply point out where people said stupid shit. response?-

Enough to make fools look like what they are. It’s not even hard.

Welcome to reality. Where your opinion doesn’t change the facts. Of course if you understood the facts, you might change your opinion.

FXM, the Jerk Store called - they’re running out of you!

The stupid is strong in this one.

Deadly, ehe? That sounds grim. So…what’s the death toll up to now? How many have been hospitalized for serious radiation exposure? Must be in the 10’s of thousands. I’m surprised by the lack of reporting on this seemingly vital story. How are the Japanese hospitals handling all of the wounded from the tsunami, earth quake AND 10’s of thousands with radiation poisoning???

Naw, no need for that man. Simply making you look like the idiot you are, over and over is enough of a public service. I think it’s hilarious that you actually think you are making good points in these threads, but that everyone else (and I mean that literally…there is almost NO ONE who thinks you have a clue, with the possible exception of your buddy gonzo, who is, well, quite stupid) is some sort of nuclear cheerleader who is just swallowing the ‘official line’ and going along with everything that Big Nuclear Energy and The Government is spoon feeding us. :stuck_out_tongue:

What I can’t understand is why the mods haven’t shut this abortion down yet…it’s clear that you are just bumping and trolling for at least the last half of this thread.

My posts usually include links to media stories, blogs or science articles. Like the OP. Then some lunatic ranting and spench.

It’s actually in the topic title, it says rantings and other crap. Is it that hard to read a thread title?

Now let’s try once again to speak of the new deadly radiation, found outside of containment.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43982727/ns/world_news-asia_pacific/t/death-seconds-radiation-pockets-found-fukushima-plant/

This is a location inside the plant grounds. Right where people are working. Some idiots think that it old, that somehow they missed it.

Haha

people are funny

So here is a deadly radiation outside containment, but the nuclear defender insists that it isn’t important because nobody died. It’s not really a problem, because everybody is staying the fuck away from it. Of course they have no clue how to get rid of it, they just put lead shields and signs around it and tell everyone to stay away.

problem solved

Wow, that’s a lot of radiation. Pretty serious. So, how many have died again? How many have been seriously injured due to radiation poisoning? Could you give us a ball park on those figures? Must be huge.

Look, FXM. What you need to remember, you mongrel idiot, is that everyone talking about death toll is comparing it to the actual disaster that happened–that is, the tsunami.

What’s happening at Fukushima is bad. Thus far, it remains insignificantly, infinitesimally bad compared to the actual damage and destruction caused by the tsunami.
