Rap and movie sayings and meanings?

What do these lyrics/movie sayings mean??

“Say my name!”

“Who’s your daddy??” (usually used during sex, disturbing me more!)

“My Milkshake brings the boys to the yard (etc…)” From “Milkshake” by Kelis. It has something to do with sex but I’ve strained my brain and can’t figure out how she connects milkshakes with sex.

What part of the female anatomy is known for producing milk and can be shaken?

I’m not an idiot because I didn’t know what a ‘milkshake’ was.

“My milkshake brings the boys to the yard and they’re like ‘it’s better than yours’, darn right, it’s better than yours! I would teach you, but I’d have to charge”.

Unless she wiggles her breasts in such a way that other people never could, breasts still don’t fit with the lyrics of the song.

Umm, i think what you quoted there from Smitty was his Sig. It isn’t directed toward anyone in particular… it shows up at the bottom of all his posts.

As for the lyric, it’s only a metaphor. Not meant to be looked into too literally. I think Smitty was on the right track.

Pretty sure that’s his sig.

“Who’s your daddy?” and “Say my name” are essentially the same thing- making sure the recipient know who is, um, pleasuring them. Power trip and all that.

“Milkshake” by Kelis is basically the same thing as “Pimpjuice” by Nelly. Its not anything in particular, its just something that she has that makes men like her. Listen to “Pimpjuice”, it gives out a couple examples of what can be considered “Pimpjuice.”

(You asked for it…)

I’ve heard that the term “milkshake”, as used in the song mentioned earlier in this thread, refers to the practice of the male, presumably condomless, leaving, er, a lot of evidence in his partner after heterosexual intercourse, and letting such evidence drip back out of said female partner. Aside from the person who told me this, I have never heard of it referred to by that particular term before (although I have heard of the term “creampie” being used for basically the same thing). YMMV.

Either way, I concur with kevsnyde in that the lyrics probably weren’t meant to be taken too literally, and with teemingONE in that “milkshake” probably doesn’t mean anything specific. The idea, as has been stated, is probably that whatever the milkshake is, it’s so special and unique that one wouldn’t possess the ability to pull it off unless one were taught by Kelis, who is presumably the master of milkshakes (as it were). It’s probably a very general thing, meaning perhaps just that Kelis is great in bed. Don’t lose too much sleep over it.

I have another theory regarding “milkshake”…
I propose that it is one of the most moronically stupid and crappiest songs I have ever had the displeasure of hearing. The perpetrator of such a crime against music probably just said it because it was the prevailing “thought” in her two-bit excuse for a brain. I suggest it is devoid of any meaning as such.

Hmm…Gee, OMW. That’s quite an opinion. Did you get bitch slapped by a rapper one day in your childhood to perpetuate such a vehement viewpoint in your adulthood?

I agree with the consensus. I think the song is one of these fun flippant songs that has vague meanings in their sexual innuendos, and is not meant to be taken quite that literally, or seriously. If you look for a deep musical expression here, than you’re just missing the point. If some people like to dance to the beat, and the lyrics bring them a chuckle, then Kelis has done the job that Kelis probably set out to do.

The Milshake was analysed in great detail just a couple of days ago on Cafe Society:

The quote from Kelis herself that’s in that thread seems to me to be the most likely explanation.
