Commence to gigglin, y’all.
OK, I’m using my free bump. This has nerd humor written all over it and you people will laugh at it, darnit.
I found it mildly amusing. You need nerds who listed to rap to enjoy those graphs. The SDMB does not have a lot of people who listen to rap.
At least the charts all link to the songs they are representing. A lot of good songs can be found over there.
Yep, I did (my favourite being the first one for Ice Cube’s It Was a Good Day), although the novelty wore off after the first few. A lot of 'em aren’t actual graphical representations of the songs either - they’re just semi-random charts with bits of lyrics added. Great general idea though.
Liked the Venn diagram for MC Hammer, too.
I could have sworn I saw at least a few of these a few months ao in a SomethingAwful thread called something like “Accurate and funny scientific diagrams”. Especially the Mutant Venn Diagram was one which featured many times because people kept adding to it. Then again, how many graphical representations can you think of for “I got 99 problems but a bitch ain’t one”?
It’s repetitive, but some of the graphs were petty funny. I can’t remember which Doper came up with this, but I wanted to see someone break down the equation J^H^O^V^A.
Hah! Some of these are pretty funny. Rick Ross’s schedule, Halfway crooks pie chart, frequency of letter appearance s n o p d g was funny for me.
Snoop Dogg only has 3 "o"s.
Snoop Doggy Dogg has 4, but then it has more d’s and g’s.
My conribution:
Who this is for:
G'z : 50%
Hustla'z :50%
Nerd with affiliation for rap checking in.
I liked the Me/You <-> Bank accounts/ounces/vehicles graph, but that’s perhaps just because the song is so awesome.
The chart titled “1, 2, 3 & to the 4” made me chuckle. A lot of them were pretty funny.
The chart for Damn, It Feel Good To Be A Gangsta was so out of left field that I couldn’t help but crack up.
Most Obscure Reference – I couldn’t believe they threw Dead Mike from CB4 in there.
And of course, holy crap that “Everything” chart is a work of art.
Percentage of boys brought to the yard by respective milkshakes is possibly one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. But then I don’t get out much.
This is definitely the funniest page I’ve ever seen that involves Venn diagrams.
Still viewing the charts, but this one has been my favorite so far.
I loved the Nas reference. He is one of my favorites. I am not a nerd, (not for lack of trying), but I found those graphs pretty funny. Made me chuckle.
Well, no wonder I didn’t get it. You have to actually make the connection that the graphs were in fact referring to rap songs. I just realized, I don’t know one single rap song.
That’s a lot of graphs.
