rate the disney villians

Sher Kahn (that doesn’t look right, but that’s how IMDB spells it) because George Sanders had one of the best voices and personas of all time. It’s not enough to be bad, you have to be stylish too.

I also like the evil fairy Maleficent (I identify with her, perhaps?)

Peter Ustinov’s Prince John in Robin Hood is campy fun. I also liked Sir Hiss from that movie, for some reason.

I think the scariest and most intense villian ever was The Queen from Snow White*.

Maleficent
Sher Khan
Cruella De Vil – killling puppies! c’mon, that is nasty wicked!

The witch, from “Snow White.” Now she was hardcore!! Totally vain and prideful in the beginning, and by the end, just downright terrifying. I don’t think anyone did it as well as she did.

But Shere Khan as second best. He was pretty awesome. He could have just snapped that man child to pieces. Don’t know why he didn’t.

Also- Cruella deVil needed puppies because their fur was very soft- when the dogs become adults, their fur becomes more coarse. Learned that from the live action version.

I’m gonna nitpick - a mountain wasn’t dropped on him, he was caught up in an avalanche and he wasn’t the only one who survived, so his henchmen should get some bonus points for living too.

My favorites:
Captain Hook - you just gotta love a villian who’s more interesting than the hero.

Hades - mostly cuz I liked James Woods doing the voice.

And as Myrnalene said, Robin Hood’s Prince John was just fun.

If only she would have made a coat out of orphans…

I vote Scar from Lion King. We don’t see nearly enough of villians actually killing good guys in Disney movies.

Gaston by far. Why? Because he’s the only villain who didn’t think he was a villain. He was trying to rescue Belle – which made him both fascinating and much more dangerous. And he had the best song.

Second choice: Hades – Disney’s only comic villain, which also makes him much more interesting.

The rest tend to be dully evil with little personality other than that. They’re only there to be an antagonist and are pretty interchangeable.

That just proved they were all badass.
